Week Nine & Ten!

Hello Friends and Family,

We are sorry we are a week behind on our posts.  In an effort to catch-up, this will be a 2-for-1 entry!  As of this past Saturday, February 4, we are in the double digit weeks of pregnancy!

Sara is still handling everything like a champ.  She still has some fatigue and nauseousness, but all in all, she is doing great.  She has been attending a lot of different classes at her gym (spinning, Zumba, step aerobics) which has helped her energy levels a lot.  I have been working on my 12 oz. curls.

So here is what has been happening to Lil' Tiddlywink in Week 9 and Week 10...

Week 9:  He/She is nearly an inch long and is about the size of a grape/olive.  The baby is looking more human every day, and all of the essential body parts are accounted for (hopefully the dong too).  The baby has tiny earlobes and the mouth, eyes, and nose are more distinct.  His/her fingers and toes have now taken shape as well.

Week 10:  Our baby is now the size of a kumquat and has completed the most critical portion of development.  This is the beginning of the fetal period, a time when tissues and organs rapidly mature.  He/she is forming nails on his/her fingers and toes as well as teeth buds.  The baby's hands are flexed at the wrist and folded over it's heart.

Our baby attending it's first Super Bowl festivities while the event was hosted here in Indy.  We took in the sights over the weekend and tailgated (alcohol free for Sara) before and during the game in a parking lot near the stadium.  We can't wait to tell Tiddlywink how he/she was in the middle of the action one day.

We are very excited about our upcoming doctor's appointment on Tuesday at 8:30 (Valentine's Day morning).  We will keep you all updated on the newest developments early next week.  Wish us luck!

We love you all!!!
